MANIFESTO

This website is a static project focused on the long-term preservation of content.

All content is stored in files, without relying on databases or external systems. The resulting website is generated as a static output that can be easily copied, archived, and rebuilt.

The project is distributed across multiple independent systems: repositories, archiving services, and static snapshots. This reduces the risk of data loss.

The goal is to ensure that the content can be reconstructed even if some parts of the original infrastructure cease to exist.

ONLINE ARCHIVE LAYER

These links represent the same project stored in different systems and in different forms.

They include the canonical source repository, its copies, and complete static snapshots. Together, they form a redundant structure designed to preserve the project and enable its reconstruction even if some parts become unavailable.

The project also exists as a Python CLI package distributed via GitHub and PyPI, including embedded fallback snapshots of selected text artifacts.

The digital archiving of this website thus utilizes, in addition to its own domain, the services of GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, SourceForge, Neocities, Cloudflare, Netlify, Vercel, Firebase, ChatGPT Sites, Arweave, Pollux.casa (Gemini), envs.net (Gemini + Gopher), Software Heritage, Internet Archive, Webarchiv, Zenodo, Figshare, Open Science Framework, Permanent.org, Proton.me, Pinata, Hugging Face, Kaggle, YouTube, Spotify, File Garden, NudgeHost, Catbox, CYX Share, Ocen Share, Node 616, pOne.Rs, kappa.lol, Lulu, Kobo, Z-Library, Bookracy, Library Genesis, PyPI, Perma.cc, archive.today, Ghost Archive, Arquivo.pt, Megalodon, Rentry.co, and paste.rs.

The inclusion of the website in the selective archiving program of the National Library of the Czech Republic was confirmed by the signing of a license agreement and documented by an official confirmation dated October 7, 2026, and a certificate of inclusion in the Web Archive.

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION

SOURCE PACKAGE FOR RECONSTRUCTION

The website’s source package is generated automatically during the build.

The package contains the source code for this website, an asset manifest, SHA-256 checksums, and a Python script with no external dependencies. It does not include large assets from public/images/, public/files/, and public/demos/ to avoid unnecessarily doubling the size of the live website. After extraction, the script first attempts to copy the assets locally from the finished build and only then downloads them from public mirrors.

Thus, the source code generates the build, and the build generates the source code.

The source package is recursively reconstructible: after downloading the assets and installing the dependencies, both the website and a new source package can be regenerated from it.

Download the reconstructible source package for the website (vojtamaur-web-source.zip)

BUILD INTEGRITY AND IDENTITY

SHA-256 verifies that the build files have not been altered. Additionally, the OpenPGP signature allows you to verify that the checksum manifest was signed by the author of this website.

SHA256SUMS.txt — a list of SHA-256 checksums for the build
files SHA256SUMS.txt.asc — a separate OpenPGP signature for the file SHA256SUMS.txt
BUILD_SHA256.txt — SHA-256 checksum of the file SHA256SUMS.txt
BUILD_HASH_HISTORY.txt — cumulative history of previous signed integrity builds
.json — machine-readable descriptive information about the build’s
integrity SIGNING_STATUS.txt — descriptive status of the signing process for a specific build
vojta-maur-openpgp.asc — public OpenPGP key for verifying the signature

Fingerprint of the master OpenPGP key:
57E9 D455 FB10 A228 F66E 18AE C5F5 B390 5220 BE59

Not every deployment needs to be signed. A signed build must contain the file SHA256SUMS.txt.asc, and its signature must be successfully verified. The mere presence of integrity.json or SIGNING_STATUS.txt is not proof of a valid signature; these files are for informational purposes only.

EXPORTS

Details about individual exports and their generation are provided in the technical documentation. Links to existing exports are available in the ARCHIVE.txt file.

Offline Version of the Website (USB Build)

The website can also be compiled into a standalone offline version, which allows you to browse its pages directly from local storage without a web server or an internet connection. During this build, the structure of the output HTML files and relative paths are adjusted so that the website can be run, for example, from a USB drive or other archival media. The offline build thus preserves not only the content of the articles but also the original structure and appearance of the website.

Plain-text (TXT)

With each build, the website generates a plain-text export of all articles. It contains the text content of the posts in a linear format, independent of CSS, JavaScript, or any specific web technology. It serves as a minimal archival layer for indexing, offline reading, full-text search, and long-term content reconstruction, even in the event of a partial breakdown of the website’s original structure. The text export is also suitable for large language models.

View the text export of all articles (ALL_POSTS.txt)

Markdown (MD)

In addition to the plain-text export, a manually generated export to the Markdown (MD) format is also available, which preserves the structure of articles, metadata, and links to external media. It is primarily intended for reading, further processing, and publishing on platforms that support Markdown.

Gemini / Gopher (Gemtext)

When building a website with translations, a separate Czech-English text version intended for the Gemini and Gopher protocols is also automatically generated. It is based on the resulting HTML and preserves the structure of the articles, headings, navigation, and links to external media. The export is saved in the Gemtext (.gmi) format, supplemented with gophermap navigation files, so it can be published via both protocols.

JSON-LD

A JSON-LD export is available for machine processing, which includes both Czech and English article texts, metadata, and links to media. It uses the standard Schema.org vocabulary supplemented with custom terms described in this website’s metadata dictionary. This preserves the meaning of individual fields as well as the relationships between the different language versions of the articles.

View the machine-readable export of all articles (ALL_POSTS.json)

Rosetta (multilingual export)

This JSON-LD export also generates a multilingual “Rosetta” export, in which LLM translates its Czech content into approximately one hundred languages. The result is separate plain-text exports for each language version.

PDF

The website’s content can also be manually exported to PDF, which preserves the content in a format suitable for reading, printing, and long-term archiving independent of the website itself. Details on how the export is generated and its structure are provided in the technical documentation above.

EPUB

Similarly, an EPUB export is also generated, intended primarily for e-readers and other software that works with e-books. Unlike PDF, it uses a fluid text layout and provides another representation of the website’s content.

Slow-Scan Television (SSTV)

Another distinct representation of the content is the SSTV export from September 10, 2026, which automatically converts the website’s text and image content into pages optimized for standard Slow-Scan Television (SSTV) transmission in PD120 mode (640 × 496 px) mode. Individual pages are encoded as audio transmissions in WAV format and can be viewed using a standard SSTV receiver without the original HTML or a web browser. The complete export is approximately 21 GB and contains 61 hours of audio.

Download the SSTV export (Internet Archive)

Morse Code

An experimental export to the International Morse Code converts both Czech and English articles into a simple character representation consisting of dots, dashes, and separators.

Other Specialized Exports

Additional tools enable filtered and compact text exports, ultra-compact PDFs with images, text-only PDFs inspired by Memory of Mankind, and summary PDFs or EPUBs of Metaweb Articles with accompanying materials.

Verbal export

In addition to machine-generated exports, there is also an approximately six-hour spoken export of the website from August 29, 2026, in which I gradually go through, read, and comment on its content in my own words. In addition to the texts themselves, the recording also captures additional context, memories, explanations, and information that are not directly part of the website.

OFFLINE ARCHIVE LAYER

Selected portions of the website’s content also exist on separate physical archival media, which are typically physically isolated from the network infrastructure, thus forming an air-gapped archival layer. This includes printed analog copies as well as portable data storage media. Individual media differ in terms of how they are read, technical dependencies, management, accessibility, and expected lifespan. Some are directly readable without electronic devices, while others require compatible hardware, software, or the assistance of archival institutions.

The most significant components of this layer are three ceramic tablets containing an English translation of the “Personal Work” section, stored in a salt mine in Hallstatt, Austria, as part of the Memory of Mankind project.

Each line of the following register identifies a specific physical copy.
